MyBlogLog Service with
yahoo
MyBlogLog
was acquired by Yahoo. It was
acquired in January, 2007 by Yahoo. At the time of acquiring it had over
45,000 blogs subscribed. Been acquired in about $10 million yahoo was looking
forward to work on it. In 2008,
MyBlogLog averaged approximately 22 million visits to pages with MyBlogLog
widgets each day. It was also a day when it had over 275,000 registered members.
With
this people were looking for another redesign in the service. Yahoo also worked
over this service they provided advanced and more enhanced service with their
platform. The design of MyBlogLog
with yahoo was nice. With interactive implementation in the widget it provided new features and updated design.
With the
acquirement of yahoo with MyBlogLog now user got a service with which members can
install widgets on their blog with which they can get details of the latest
viewers, including name and avatar etc. This service was helping them a lot but
suddenly On February 24, 2011 Yahoo announced the MyBlogLog service would be
terminated soon after few months it
stopped.
It was because they never took their model to the next level. They focus less on the design and the
service got stuck and it stopped after few months of successful running. Even
though it is terminated user still wait for such services to launch again.
